Through demonstrations and examples of notable storyboards, their veteran animator / teacher will draw on their own experience boarding projects from graphic novels to films to inspire and guide students in their own creations. Teens will have fun learning how to incorporate character, tension, staging, gags, goals, and timing into their projects. Storyboarding & Storytelling I
Over the next six weeks, students aged 13 – 18 journey into the art of storytelling in this live, small group class, creating their own, multi-character, more sophisticated full color storyboard!
Adding the elements of light and mood, an expert animator / instructor sparks student creativity with demonstrations and examples of notable boards depicting a variety of stories. Storyboarding & Storytelling II
Teens 13 – 18 will embark on a 12-week exploration of story arc and the character’s journey and create a complex story and a color board for a 10 – 20-minute film or a small graphic novel!
A seasoned animator / instructor leads students through demonstrations and celebrated examples of boards-to-film to broaden their vision and individual creativity. The junior boarder’s work is strengthened by individual instructor feedback.
